If an ITHELP.GE engineer installed something called "GLPI-Agent" on one of your computers, here's exactly what it is and what it does.

What it is:
GLPI-Agent is a well-known, independently maintained open-source inventory tool (not something we wrote ourselves) used by IT teams worldwide. You can review its source code yourself at github.com/glpi-project/glpi-agent — we don't ask you to trust a mystery program.

What it collects:
Hardware details (manufacturer, model, serial number, CPU, RAM, storage) and a list of installed software names and versions. That's it.

What it does NOT do:
- Does not read, open, or transmit any of your files or documents
- Does not track your browsing history or activity
- Does not log keystrokes
- Has no remote-control or screen-viewing capability of any kind

Why we use it:
It keeps your device records in the ITHELP.GE portal accurate automatically, so when you open a support ticket about a specific computer, the engineer already knows its hardware and warranty status before responding. It also lets us flag warranty expirations and plan replacements proactively instead of after something breaks.

Who installs it:
Only ITHELP.GE engineers, during a scheduled on-site or remote support session as part of your service contract. We never ask you to install or run anything yourself on our behalf.

Questions? Contact help@ithelp.ge and we're glad to walk through exactly what's on any specific device.
